![]() Health InformationMexico Travel Update
As of May 15th the CDC has removed its recommendation that U.S. travelers avoid travel to Mexico. The CDC has been monitoring the ongoing outbreak of novel H1N1 flu in Mexico and, with the assistance of the Mexican authorities, has obtained a more complete picture of the outbreak. The risk now appears to be less than originally thought. Therefore, the CDC has removed its recommendation that U.S. travelers avoid travel to Mexico. It is still recommended to follow simple cold and flu prevention practices while traveling as well as in daily life such as regular hand-washing, normal cough etiquette and avoiding contact with people suffering from cold and flu symptoms. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) gives you comprehensive health information for specific destinations, required vaccinations, information for travelers with special needs, and timely updates about other health news. Visit the U.S. State Department Travel Website for additional travel information. Vacation Express cannot guarantee the accuracy of information located on external websites. |
